Ralph Frank Henn III, MD, Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, is working with an industrial partner to examine the effectiveness of an implant in the knee to replace worn cartilage.   The goal is to increase generalized medical knowledge about the effectiveness and durability of the implant.

His study will examine both clinical and MRI results of these implants as well as collecting survey data from patients that relates pain and function information over the course of up to 5 years following the surgery.

This study is sponsored by Arthrex Inc.
