Patient maintains balance in physical therapy

The Amputee Rehabilitation Program at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute provides comprehensive care to patients who have lost an arm or leg to vascular disease or traumatic injury. We offer inpatient and outpatient services to help our patients gain knowledge, strength, and confidence to adapt to their new life. Through our Amputee Walking School, Adapted Sports Program, support groups, and peer mentoring, we also address the psychological issues that come with losing a limb.

Philanthropic support helps us to advance our patient-centered programs, purchase state-of-the-art equipment and, most importantly, make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Please consider making a contribution today to our Amputee Rehabilitation Program. Your gift will allow us to continue to provide the very best comprehensive rehabilitation care to every amputee patient we are privileged to serve.
