Welcome from the Assistant Program Director
Thank you for your interest in our residency program at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus!
I am a proud graduate of University of Maryland Midtown Campus, and am an Assistant Professor of Medicine for University Of Maryland School Of Medicine. I joined the Academic Hospitalist Physician team at UMMC Midtown Campus in 2010 and have served as the Director of the hospitalist teaching service since 2015. As a graduate of this residency program, I take great pride in teaching and training of our resident physicians. I am committed to giving back to the program that has mentored me and allowed me to achieve my career goals. My current clinical focus is training resident physicians for high quality, cost effective hospital medicine while following core measures for Disease Management.
Our residency program provides a collegial and intimate learning environment to manage and treat both common and complex pathologies in a community hospital setting. There is a dynamic partnership and collaboration between the University of Maryland Medical Center University Campus and the Midtown Campus, and as the two campuses are integrating, residents at Midtown Campus have access to resources and opportunities at the University Campus as well. Thus, our program is unique in being to offer community- based patient care training experiences with educational opportunities generally only available at university-based training programs.
