As our country responds to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), this is time for us all to pull together. At the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), we are doing our part by taking all the necessary steps to protect and care for our patients, visitors, staff and communities.
We are implementing the protocols laid out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in order to provide the best care possible for the people of Maryland and our nation. The faculty and research teams at the University of Maryland School of Medicine are serving as experts on the national response effort and at the forefront of vaccine development.
We are and will continue to commit resources to the critical work at hand. We are maximizing our capacity to protect and care for patients and communities and serving as a resource for the public and our partners in State and Federal government.
In response to circumstances resulting from COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the need to keep our employees and candidates safe and healthy, we will be implementing a new remote interview policy.
Beginning Monday, March 23rd, 2020, all initial interviews will be conducted virtually with both physician recruiters and hiring managers. Onsite practice interviews will be conducted on a case by case basis. With your help in learning and embracing our new interview process, the dedicated Recruitment team at UMMS is continuing to assist providers that are seeking to make The University of Maryland their career home to care for our patients, families, and friends.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we adapt to today's current events and prioritize the safety of our patients, employees and candidates.
