About Me
A nurse practitioner, Travis Boss specializes in adult primary care. He takes a holistic approach that considers the whole patient (namely their physical and mental wellness), not just a specific health problem.
"The reason I chose the field of primary care is that over the years, I have seen so many injures and conditions that could have been prevented by a primary care provider. I left trauma because I am passionate about prevention and think that it one of the most important aspects of medicine," he says.
Boss provides preventive care, including health screenings, and management of chronic conditions (those that require ongoing medical attention and/or limit activities of daily living) to help optimize patients’ health. His approach to care is grounded in building a collaborative relationship with the patient for shared decision-making in determining treatment plans and health goals geared toward positive outcomes.
In addition to caring for patients, Boss has been a proud member of the Maryland Army National Guard since 2010. He is a University of Maryland School of Nursing graduate.
