About Me

Dr. Robins enjoys seeing patients of all ages and managing a wide range of eye conditions. A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, she is excited to be in Baltimore and looks forward to working in the community to increase awareness of the importance of ocular health for overall well-being.

"My philosophy is to treat my patients the way that I would want my family to be treated. When explaining conditions and treatments to patients, I think of how I would explain it to someone I know personally as clearly and empathetically as I can," she says.

Dr. Robins' clinical interests are in the medical and non-surgical management of:

  • Adult and pediatric optometry (ages 2 and older)
  • Ocular disease (diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease and glaucoma)
  • Vision impairment
  • MiSight contact lenses for myopia control

In the University of Maryland Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Robins is a part of a caring group of providers and staff committed to delivering the best possible eye care. Their collaborative approach to patient care enables them to provide treatment for virtually any ocular condition a patient may have.

While completing her pediatric and vision therapy residency at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Robins honed her skills working with patients with various binocular vision disorders including amblyopia, strabismus, convergence insufficiency and accommodative disorders. Also at The Eye Institute, she worked in the emergency department, seeing patients with urgent and emergent ocular conditions. As a student, she earned membership in both the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and Gold Key International Optometric Society.

Dr. Robins was chosen to participate in the American Optometric Association's Leadership Institute Class of 2023. She is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as both the Maryland Optometric Association and Virginia Optometric Association. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

In her free time away from patient care, Dr. Robins is an avid runner. She completed her first marathon in March 2023. In addition, she is a big Star Wars fan and owns a sizeable lightsaber collection.

  • Dr Robins explained everything about my bifocal eyeglasses. I am to look out of the top for driving a car and look out of the bottom to read my phone or books. I am very pleased with my visit and care.
