About Me
As a survivorship nurse practitioner in the oncology field, Kai Andrews provides comprehensive care to patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. She helps manage patients' lives after cancer treatment, guiding them through their survivorship journey.
"One of the most rewarding aspects about my job are the interactions that I am able to have with each one of my patients. Making patients feel comfortable, cared for and a part of the medical team is especially fulfilling," she says.
Andrews developed a strong passion for oncology while working as a chemotherapy infusion nurse at University of Maryland Medical Center. She spent five years working as a nurse practitioner for gynecologic oncology patients, during which time she also served as an educational facilitator at various community health events. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 2019.
In her free time, Andrews enjoys cooking with her husband, reading, traveling and attending performances at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, the home venue of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
