About Me

Dr. Kunnackal John received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from St. John's Medical College and Hospital in Bangalore, India. He was selected as a Rhodes Scholar in 2010 and went on to earn a master's degree in global health science and a master's degree of research in clinical medicine from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

After receiving two master's degrees, Dr. Kunnackal John came to Baltimore, Maryland, where he completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, following this with his fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He joined UM Shore Medical Group in 2018.

  • Dr.John is an exceptional provider. He is brilliant, kind, compassionate, and a great communicator. I am Devastated that he is leaving Shore. He literally saved my life so I am indebted to him. He is such a good man. UMD is fortunate that he is staying with them in Baltimore.

  • I would and have recommended Dr John to others. Unfortunately it seems to be difficult to get an appointment with him.
