Elizabeth Johnston is a women's health nurse practitioner and certified nurse-midwife. She provides routine gynecologic care to women from adolescence through menopause. She has clinical interests in family planning, such as preconception care or birth control counseling.
Johnston can treat common gynecologic conditions such as urinary tract infections, irregular menstrual bleeding, painful menses, vaginal discharge, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopausal symptoms, breast problems, sexually transmitted infections and painful sexual intercourse. Procedures she can perform include intrauterine device (IUD) insertion/removal, Nexplanon implant insertion/removal and vulvar biopsy.
Johnston enjoys working with patients in finding a plan of care they are comfortable with and can be reasonably implemented.
