About Me
Dr. Makhzoumi is a dermatologic surgeon. She specializes in the advanced technique of Mohs micrographic surgery, a procedure used to treat certain types of skin cancer. She also specializes in surgical reconstruction for skin cancer. Her expertise also includes all aspects of procedural dermatology, including laser surgery and the rejuvenation of aging skin.
Dr. Makhzoumi's special interests also include:
- Facial reconstructive surgery
- Cutaneous oncology
- Cosmetic dermatology
- Transplant dermatology
Dr. Makhzoumi is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the recipient of the Faculty Gold Medal. She is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery and the Women's Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Makhzoumi has previously been honored as a "Top Doctor" in the specialties of dermatology and dermatologic surgery by Baltimore magazine.
