About Me
Dr. Chiu's clinical specialties include trauma surgery, surgical critical care, and soft tissue surgery.
He is the director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program at UMMC’s R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. He is certified in surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Chiu is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Critical Care Medicine, and the International College of Surgeons. He is currently a member of the board of directors of the Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. He is co-editor of the textbook Critical Care Emergency Medicine, Second Edition.
