About Me

Dr. Grabow specializes in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is trained in both interventional and multidisciplinary techniques for the management of chronic pain. His practice, one of the busiest pain management practices in the Baltimore area, is recognized in the community as a leading group of university-trained, board-certified physicians.

Dr. Grabow's care philosophy is guided by evidence-based, outcome-oriented research. He understands that chronic pain can impact all aspects of physical and psychological well-being and thus focuses on the most effective, multi-dimensional treatment options. He provides comprehensive evaluations and individualized, scientifically based therapies for all his patients.

Dr. Grabow was one of the first physicians in the Baltimore community to perform both interventional and comprehensive multidisciplinary pain management procedures, including radiofrequency ablation for cervical and lumbar facet joint pain. He performs more than 2,000 injections yearly, including facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections, nerve root blocks, major joint injections and epidural steroid injections.

Dr. Grabow's academic accomplishments include several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has also been a reviewer for several peer-reviewed scientific medical journals. He has co-authored several book chapters as well as scientific journal articles available through Medline. He has lectured at national and community-organized academic and university-sponsored conferences on pain management, including the Johns Hopkins Multidisciplinary Pain Medicine and Regional Anesthesia Update. He presented at the sixth annual Maryland Patient Safety Conference in Baltimore.

Dr. Grabow is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology and a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology. He also is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain.
