About Me
Dr. Peddy is a nationally renowned pediatric cardiac intensivist. She specializes in general pediatrics, pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine.
Dr. Peddy is an associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics at University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) and the inaugural medical director of the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit at University of Maryland Children's Hospital. She is also director of the Pediatric ECMO Program at University of Maryland Children's Hospital. She came to University of Maryland in November 2021 from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she served as cardiac center simulation director and a staff cardiac intensivist.
Dr. Peddy earned undergraduate degrees in biology and history from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania; a master's degree in biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; and a medical degree with honors from UMSOM. She completed her pediatric residency, pediatric cardiology fellowship and pediatric critical medicine fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
