Dr. Kwatra is an internationally renowned dermatologist and physician-scientist. He specializes in:

  • Atopic dermatitis (condition that causes inflammation, redness and irritation of the skin)
  • Chronic pruritus (itchy skin)
  • Dermatology for ethnic skin
  • Prurigo nodularis (condition that causes itchy bumps on your skin)

Dr. Kwatra is highly respected as an expert and a leader in the fields of chronic itch, inflammatory skin conditions and skin color research on an international level. He has served on the board of directors of the Skin of Color Society and is currently the organization's secretary/treasurer. He is also a member of the National Eczema Association's Scientific and Medical Advisory Council.

  • Very detailed information and great concern with my condition and progress.

  • They did all the things - like, checked all the boxes but in such a hurried way that I did not feel good about the experience. I will find another practitioner.

  • At redwood location, physician was unable to explain my skin condition in a way I understand. Made no connection with me about my care or concerns.

  • I will likely recommend Dr. Kwatra for expertise. However I am not very impressed with the communication during and mostly after the visit. It takes days to get a response on questions after the visit. Asking a question and getting a full response is almost non existent. Getting a response directly from the Dr and NOT a PA or NP is non existent as well.
