Sankari Sivasailam, MD

Sankari Sivasailam, M.D., is the medical director of Oncology Women's Services. She attended medical school at the University of Madras, Kilpauk Medical College in India. She completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Agnes Hospital and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Sivasailam has been in clinical practice for the past 18 years in the field of medical oncology and has a special interest in breast cancer and gynecologic malignancies.

Dr. Sivasailam's passion is to use a holistic approach to cancer care. She is a strong advocate of a body, mind and spirit approach to healing in an effort to help cancer patients improve their well-being and quality of life. She is actively involved in the development of the Oncology Integrative Medicine Program at the Kaufman Cancer Center (KCC) in collaboration with Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH).
