About Me
As an academic pediatrician, Dr. Carter focuses on the general pediatric health of children from birth through age 21. Her clinical interests include care for children with complex medical and social support needs and preventative care of pediatric patients. She also has interests in community outreach and engagement, equity of care, inclusive medical practice and lactation support.
Dr. Carter practices at UM Pediatrics at Midtown, the general pediatrics clinic of the Department of Pediatrics at University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM), where she also serves as an educating preceptor for pediatric residents and medical students. She also serves as division head and director of community outreach and engagement for the Division of General Pediatrics at UMSOM.
Dr. Carter is a strong advocate for vaccination and evidence-based pediatric care. She has previously been recognized as a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of general pediatrics by Baltimore magazine.
