About Me
Dr. Yee is a dedicated pulmonary and critical care physician. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of many respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules and other chronic lung diseases.
A compassionate and skilled physician, Dr. Yee's treatment philosophy focuses on personalized, patient-centered care. She performs procedures such as:
- Bronchoscopy (test to view the airways and diagnose lung disease) with and without endobronchial ultrasound
- Thoracentesis (procedure in which extra fluid is drained from around the lungs with a needle)
- Tunneled pleural catheter placement (minimally invasive procedure to insert a catheter in the pleural cavity to remove fluid)
Dr. Yee chose a career in medicine due to her passion in caring for others and her love of teaching. She served as chief resident during her residency training and was selected as chief fellow during her fellowship training. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and remains committed to continuing professional development and providing exceptional patient care.
As a Maryland native and alumna of University of Maryland, College Park, Dr. Yee is excited to be a part of the University of Maryland Medical System team. In her free time, she enjoys good food and spending time with her family and loved ones.
