About Me
Dr. Myron J. Szczukowski's main practice area is general orthopedics with a sub-specialty in total joint surgery. He focuses his orthopedic practice on the evaluation and treatment of hip, knee and shoulder problems.
"I am committed to staying on the cutting edge of training and technology. Over 20 years of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal disease and injury has given me a wide range of experience in surgical and non-surgical treatments," Dr. Szczukowski says. "My patients have chosen to entrust me with improving their quality of life. Coping with osteoarthritis and making a decision about a joint replacement is difficult. My goal is to reduce my patients' fears and pain and restore their mobility."
Dr. Szczukowski previously served as president of medical staff at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton. He holds a faculty position as an instructor at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and has served on community boards including the YMCA and the Talbot Lacrosse Association. He is the founder and past medical director of UM Shore Regional Health's Joint Replacement Center. His many professional memberships include the Maryland Orthopaedic Association, of which he was past president.
Additionally, Dr. Szczukowski often lectures on joint replacement surgery. He lives in Oxford, Maryland, with his wife.
