Matthew Peters, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist in the UM St. Joseph Cardiovascular Associates practice.
As a cardiologist, Dr. Peters works with patients to identify and manage treatment for a full range of heart conditions including heart rhythm issues (such as atrial fibrillation), coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol and valvular heart disease.
Dr. Peters has advanced training in cardiovascular disease. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease), National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Peters is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and a Fellow of American College of Cardiology. During his years in training and in practice, Dr. Peters’ research has been shared extensively in peer-reviewed journals and books, and through countless professional abstract and lecture presentations.
