Dr. Hochberg is an internationally recognized expert on arthritis, especially in the area of osteoarthritis. He is a professor of medicine and head of the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Hochberg is also head of rheumatology at UM Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute.
He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, where he also completed both a residency and fellowship (in connective tissue diseases).
Dr. Hochberg's areas of special interest include osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. He is board certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine.
