Jason Clifford Brookman, MS, MD

Dr. Brookman's clinical practice is mainly focused on acute and subacute care of general trauma patients, with a subspecialty emphasis on regional anesthesia and acute pain management.

Dr. Brookman’s teaching and research interests include acute pain management, functional mechanisms of regional anesthesia and neural blockade, multimodal analgesia, and the application of novel technologies in the perioperative clinical environment.

An assistant professor of anesthesiology with the UMMS Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Trauma Anesthesiology, Dr. Brookman is known for his clinical teaching, for which he has been awarded several resident and fellow Teacher of the Year Awards.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Brookman is also an avid and accomplished hobbyist landscape and fine art photographer.
