About Me
Elie K. Fraiji, Jr, MD is a general surgeon at Upper Chesapeake Surgical Associates in Bel Air, MD. Prior to joining UM Upper Chesapeake Health, Dr. Fraiji completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He then went on to residency training at St. Agnes Hospital, finishing in 2001. Following residency, Dr. Fraiji pursued a fellowship in Advanced GI Surgery at Tampa General Healthcare, which they completed the year after. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in Surgery.
Driven by a desire to collaborate and solve critical medical challenges, Dr. Fraiji finds sincere fulfillment in his career as a physician. “I enjoy being part of a team that helps people solve complex problems to avoid potentially catastrophic outcomes”, he said. When not working, he enjoys the great outdoors, often accompanied by his loyal canine companions, engaging in activities like fishing, hunting, and farming. Additionally, he has a passion for cooking.
