About Me
An oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Lee focuses on helping patients with head and neck disorders. He has clinical expertise in managing noncancerous and cancerous head and neck lesions.
Dr. Lee has specific interest in cancers of the mouth, oropharynx (middle part of the throat, behind the mouth), skin and salivary glands (gland in the mouth that produces saliva). He also has extensive experience in head and neck reconstructive surgery, trigeminal nerve repair (procedure that can help restore feeling to the face, mouth or jaws) and maxillofacial trauma (injury to the face or jaws).
During his training, Dr. Lee was the recipient of numerous teaching and research awards, including the Dr. David Stanton Award, given to a single trainee in the country for outstanding scientific contributions to the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. As assistant professor and associate program director in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Maryland Medical Center, he trains and mentors students, residents and fellows.
