Celia Elise Hearren, CRNP

Celia Hearren provides trauma-informed general gynecology care, including routine wellness care, to patients from adolescence to late adulthood. She performs insertions of intrauterine devices and Nexplanon (for birth control purposes) and pessaries (devices placed into the vagina to support the pelvic organs, particularly if you have pelvic organ prolapse or stress incontinence). In addition, she performs colposcopies and breast cancer risk assessments and provides care related to infection management.

"My across-the-lifespan approach to care includes providing prenatal and postpartum care through to perimenopause and menopause symptom management," she says.

A passion for addressing not just the reproductive health concerns of women but also how those concerns affect their overall well-being led Hearren to the obstetrics and gynecology field. In addition to obstetrical and gynecological care, she has gained experience in mental health, general medical-surgical hospital and breast care during her nursing career.

In her free time, Hearren enjoys reading or listening to a good sci-fi/fantasy book and knitting. "You may run into me at some local knitting groups," she says.
