Benedicto Jardinico Ramos, CRNP

Benedicto Ramos is a nurse practitioner who specializes in pain management. As compassion and thoroughness are the primary staples of his approach to care, he carefully considers all of the patient's needs in formulating a complete, effective pain management plan.

Ramos uses a multi-modal medical approach to pain treatment that includes opioid and non-opioid therapies as well as non-pharmacological interventions to round out the patient's regimen. He collaborates with hospitalists and advanced practice providers to formulate pain management regimens for medical and surgical inpatients. He chose to pursue a career in health care because the desire to provide comfort and compassionate care to another human being felt natural to him. He sees his work in health care as his calling.

Ramos joined University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) as a nurse practitioner in 2020. He leads the pain management program at UM UCH's Kaufman Hematology/Oncology Center.
