The UM Charles Regional Volunteer Services is a network of dedicated volunteers who proudly assist our hospital staff to achieve the highest quality of physical care and emotional comfort for our patients. We welcome new volunteers who are committed to making our hospital the very best it can be.

With your help, we can provide the very best care for our community.

Ways to Volunteer

Our volunteers provide many services for patients and the community — including supplying daily coffee service, Same Day Surgery-Family Lounge registration and staffing the information desk. Volunteers also work in the many hospital departments, assisting with office paperwork, helping comfort patients and working with us in our community.

Further examples of departments and efforts volunteers can contribute to are:

  • Blood Drives
  • Community Health Events
  • We Care Cart
  • Surgical Comfort Pillow Maker
  • Get to Know Me — Patient Engagement
  • Guest Information Desk
  • Coffee Cart
