ER at UM Laurel Medical Center

Open 24/7 year round, the emergency department at University of Maryland Laurel Medical Center in Laurel treats all patients for serious, life-threatening conditions.

Although located on the UM Laurel Medical Center campus, we operate as a standalone emergency department. If an inpatient admission or a higher level of care is needed, we arrange patient transfers to UM Capital Region Medical Center in Largo.

What to Expect at the ER: Our priority is to treat each person in our emergency rooms as quickly and safely as possible. We see patients based on how serious their conditions are. Patients are not seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more about what to expect at the ER.
