The University of Maryland Capital Region Health is committed to delivering high quality health care services to enhance the well-being of our community and its residents.

We also serve as a resource for health care education.

Our observational shadowing program offers a structured educational experience for non-employed students or professionals interested in learning about health care professions.

Please note that current hospital employees are not eligible for this program.

Participants can engage in observational shadowing for up to 5 days within a 3-month period in the same department.

Applicants for the observational shadow program must find a mentor to guide their educational experience.
