Educational Program: Sexual Assault Prevention
The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center (DVSAC) at UM Capital Region Health is committed to sexual assault prevention through education and advocacy.
Sexual Assault Community Outreach
We give community presentations that increase awareness of physical violence including sexual assault, sexual abuse, domestic violence and sex trafficking.
In addition to clearing up myths about abuse and assault, we offer training on ways to reduce the risk of abuse and identify warning signs.
If you are interested in having the DVSAC team give a presentation at your event, call us at 240-677-2337.
Sexual Assault Advocacy
We are a member of several key advocacy groups, including the:
- Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault
- Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence
- International Association of Forensic Nurses (Maryland Chapter)
- Prince George’s County Human Trafficking Task Force
- Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force
