Advanced Practice Providers
Theresa DeVeaux, MS, ACNP-BC
Ms. DeVeaux received her BSN and MS degrees from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and is a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with additional certification in cardiovascular and critical care nursing. She is a Faculty Affiliate at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She coordinates pre-op patient planning, manages inpatient and outpatient follow-up and the medical management of non-surgical vascular problems. Terry has a special interest in vascular disease prevention.
Christine Owen, MS, ACNP-BC, RNFA
Ms. Owen is a graduate of the University of Maryland Acute Care/Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Nursing CNS/ACNP program. She is a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse First Assist. She has over 20 years of surgical critical care nursing experience including assisting with open heart procedures and working in burn units. Chris supports the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care of our vascular patients, and has a special interest in endovascular interventions.
Deidre Smith, MS, AGNP-BC
Ms. Smith is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Nursing and is a certified Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She has over ten years of experience working with cardiovascular patients. She coordinates the outpatient management of our patients and facilitates their follow-up non-invasive surveillance. Deidre's interests focus on prevention, screening and education of patients and their families about peripheral arterial disease.
Registered Vascular Technologists
All of our technologists are ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologists (RVT) and the lab is led by technical director Robin Williamson.
Robin Williamson, RDMS, RVT
Robin has over 20 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist and has worked in the Vascular Center since 2004. She is a graduate of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at University of Maryland Baltimore County and has served as a clinical instructor for the program for more than 15 years. Mrs. Williamson is a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound. She is certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and holds registries in Vascular Technology (VT), Abdominal (AB), and Obstetrical/Gynecology (OB). Robin currently serves as a Manuscript Reviewer for the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Nicole Brandts, RDMS, RVT
Nicole has over 15 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist and has worked at the Vascular Center since 2006. She is a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, registered Vascular Technologist, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Women's Health from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Mrs. Brandts manages the Vascular Center's Community Vascular Screening Program, a free community service initiative that provides testing for early detection of vascular disease.
Nicole Smith, RVT
Nicole is a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer registered in vascular sonography. She has been performing ultrasounds since 2009 and has been a member of the Vascular Center team since 2012. Mrs. Smith is a clinical instructor for and graduate of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at University of Maryland Baltimore County.
Matthew Russo, RVT
Matthew is a certified registered vascular technologist with more than 5 years of experience and has worked at the Vascular Center since 2016. He is a graduate of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Prior to going to school for ultrasound he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Salisbury University.
