Volunteer Interview and Onboarding Process

Thank you for your interest in joining our volunteer team. So you know what to expect, here are more details about joining our program:

Interviewing:

Candidates who are 18 years or older and submit an application may be asked to come in for an interview. To save time at your interview, please print out and complete this Interview Packet, containing several important documents to help you learn more about us and for us to get to know you. In this packet you will find:

  • Background Check
  • Reference Letters (two references required)
  • Volunteer Expectations and Commitment Agreement
  • Confidentiality and Volunteer Agreement
  • Dress Code Policy

Onboarding:

After completing an interview, there will be several tasks for you to complete before beginning to volunteer. Since we are an active and comprehensive medical center, we care for individuals with a wide variety of conditions. Therefore all our employees and volunteers must take extra precaution to protect our patients. This includes a background check, vaccinations, references, classes and training.

To read about the vaccinations ahead of time, click here for an info sheet. The required vaccinations and this document will be explained during the interview.

These tasks typically take 2-3 months to complete, so there will be a time period in between the interview and when our applicants can actually begin to volunteer in the hospital. Thank you for your patience so we can protect our patients!
