American Heart Association

UM BWMC hosts CPR Anytime® classes in partnership with the American Heart Association. Classes are held quarterly at UM BWMC in Glen Burnie and are one hour in length. Participants can sign up to learn adult CPR or infant CPR.

CPR Anytime features choking relief, basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) skills. CPR is used when someone is not breathing and the heart is not beating. AED is used on individuals who experience life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias. The class will cover the basics of these skills with hands-on practice, allowing individuals to gain confidence with the skills they have learned.

The class is taught by a UM BWMC clinical educator. It is free of cost but pre-registration is required as class size is limited. Please note the course does not provide CPR certification.

The 2019 class dates are August 22 and November 14.
