University of Maryland Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine
The University of Maryland Medical System expanded its sports
medicine, orthopaedic and physical therapy programs with the
opening of the new Timonium facility in Central Baltimore
County. The highly respected sports medicine program, which
serves the Maryland Terrapins, is now housed at the new 18,000
square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. There are also several
special orthopaedic programs at Timonium for foot, ankle,
spine and hand injuries. The physical therapy program at Timonium
is recognized for its excellent care and rehabilitation of
collegiate and high school athletes and "weekend warriors".
Kernan Physical Therapy established a well-life program for
individuals who require close monitoring due to an underlying
health concern. Visitors can find the University of Maryland
Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine facility on the top floor
of the new Texas Station office complex.
